Top 5 comic that still ongoing.

I get asked which comics runs am i enjoying the most alot. so I decided to do a countdown of my top five comic books that is still going on and why.

First however is my runner "The Walking Dead" by Kirkman. Its hard for comics to attract fans and stay on the stands that not part of Marvel Or Dc, especially for a zombie story. Well Walking Dead beat all odds and is a great story, for everyone. I gave my girlfriend(who doesnt read comics) a trade and she addicted to it like me. Its a great comic, plus a great T.V show. So experience it anyway you can. Dont miss out.

Now on to the top 5, click read  more to see the five greatest comics on stands now.
.
5. Batman And Robin- This is a easy choice to put in my top five; I love this comic. Like im really in love with it. Its the combination of  Dick and Damien, it’s the different feel I get when reading it, it’s the new interesting villains. Its sad that this is going to end soon but all good things must come to an end. In September it will return but this time with Father and Son, Bruce and Damien. Even that looks promising. So if you haven’t been reading this go buy the trades… Now!

4. Thunderbolts- The Thunderbolts, this is a great comic book; its that simple. I jumped in to this when Marvel started the Heroic age at issue 144. Since that moment I’m more than glad I took the risk. I never miss an issue. When it comes out I don’t wait till the next day, I go pick it up as soon as possible, In Rain, in snow, in a hurricane, I just got to have my Thunderbolts. Those who not familiar with the premise, it’s a comic about Marvel villains in a reform program that basically give them a chance to be heroes. I didn’t care about characters such as Ghost, Man-thing, songbird or even Juggernaut until this book. So pick it up, you will not regret it.

3. Batman Inc.- This is no surprise, Grant Morrison is the master of Batman stories and his latest story does not disappoint. For those of you who do not know (and if that is you, shame, shame, shame!) it is about Bruce Wayne creating a worldwide army of Batman to take on global threats. Batman Inc introduces a lot of character that have potential, matter of fact one of them (Batwing) is getting his own series in September, and Night runner I believe his name is, will be feature in an up incoming issue of Batman and Robin. I need not to say more, if you read comics and you see Grant Morrison on a Batman comic you should already know that it’s something to pick up. Matter of fact his run on Batman and Robin earlier issue helped to bring it into my top five. Its only 7 issues in so go search the back issues in your local comic book shop and read maybe a story that will go down in history.

2.Uncanny X-Force- The team consist of love him or hate him Deadpool, not well known Fantomex, X-men first classer Angel, resident kickass psychic ninja Psylock, and Fan favorite badass Wolverine being a secret Hit squad could  have been a Hit or miss. It wasn’t just a hit, It was a grand slam. Rick Remender has a great grasp of these characters.; even Deadpool, who is a tough character to write especially in a serious comic that takes on a serious matters such as killing. This comic has been a joy to read. It’s always the comic I save for last to read because I know I won’t be disappointed. The first arc is about killing a kid a reincarnated Apocalypse, enough said, pick it up. The first trade is out, go and read that and see why it’s so great for yourselves.

Don’t recognized this image, your missing out

1. S.H.I.E.L.D- When I mention this comic not many people know what I’m talking about. I say Its Jonathan Hickman best work ever, which is a huge claim since he also write FF and Secret Warriors. This is a story that takes places before the Marvel universe even form, meaning a story before WW 2. The main characters are Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), and Tony stark(Ironman) , Michelangelo, Nostradamus, Isaac Newton, and Leonardo Da-Vinci, yes Da-Vinci. Still not sold well it also includes the start of the S.H.I.E.L.D organization and Galactus, a young Apocalypse, Celestials and  a baby  Celestial growing up. This is all in the first six issues. The first part of this epic story just concluded and is in hardcover. So pick it up and experience the epic scale of this comic. Seriously it’s the best comic on the stands. It release Bi-monthly  for a reason. I don’t tend to talk about art a lot but this art by Dustin Weaver is simply stunning. He became my favorite artist behind Alex Ross with his work in S.H.I.E.L.D. I wish I could tell you more about this, but part of the experience is wondering what come next and I don’t want to ruin it for you. This is a must buy comic and should get its recognition. So buy the Hardcover today, It’s not just a great comic Is a great Story.

Hope you enjoyed my top five list, keep coming back and leave a comment below.
